Statue of Mahakala
Copper, Qing Dynasty (18th century), 25.1 cm high; 21.2 cm wide. Mahakala, a Sanskrit translation, means "Great Black Deva" (Brave Protective Deity).
This statue shows a wrathful manifestation in the process of his subduing evil demons.
